I've found it to be an issue when the windows are all the way up. The car is sealed and it's an air pressure issue. When the windows are partly down or I have the roof off, mine closes quite easily....

I had 3.15s on my A4 and it was still hard to get the tires cooking. Upgraded to 3.42s, added a 2600rpm TC and it is not a problem any more.... :D
