I use a screwdriver and pry it out. When I put it back together I only knock the wedge in just deep enough to clear the pattern cover to make it easier for the next removal.

I have that system on my LT4. I went with a corsa L98 system since it is cheaper than the LT1 system and I only needed the mufflers. They sound great with no resonance at all.:cheers:
