The THM 350 has a vacuum modulator to aid in shift. It gets its vac. from the engine. If the diaphram ruptures trans. fliud will get sucked in through the engine

If you don't see any leaks. Mostlikly the modulator diaphram ruptured and the fluid is getting sucked in the engine. But as for the other problems I think your trans is toast.

Thats not the correct radio for 1977 The connectors are wrong. They didn't appear until 1978. Yes 77 chaned to a corprate radio but the connectors didn't change till 78. The buttons for 77 were black...

If you are using the frame from the 77 for the 73 you need to graft the 73 rear frame rails onto the 77. The front clip shouldn't be a problem as long as you use the bumper impact parts off the 77....
