The mod is to make it like a C6. I have cancers in the handle area and it pops the doors. Very tight fit for sure.

My 74

If your not trying to keep your 74 completely stock you can eliminate it. I had problems with it as well, it did not work all the time. I found how to bypass wire it on this forum and did just that....
