Amazingly…we were all wrong. First post updated. The shaft itself is splined. Pull it apart, clock it to where you want, and slide it back together. That’s it! Amazing. Who knew!!??

1Lt all the way. Never had visibility problems and the digital mirror thing drove me crazy last vehicle I drove with one. Had to turn it off.
