The headlights in my 1995 were making noisy after raising or lowing the lights. I replaced the hard gel with the plastic bushing repair kit and it solved the problem. My 1984 is doing the same...

ECM is pricey I wouldn't replace that without hooking the car up to a scanner first. Chris is right checking the timming would also be a good Idea. I get my parts at advance and the dealer. Hope...

Get the car on level ground. Jack the rear of the car until the tires are about an inch off the ground then remove the right rear tire to get easy acces to the fill plug. Start siphoning until dry...

I got a siphon pump from the parts store and sucked out the bad fluid through the fill plug then refilled. It was a PITA but it works. :thumbs:

Tever at Exotic Muscle told me it should have little or no resonance inside (even without cats) and a great sound outside. I will let you know for sure once I can get the parts and put it together...

Sounds like fuel delivery. Is your fuel pressure good if not possible fuel pump. IF fuel pressure is good then cap and rotor, TPS, ECM, or vacuum leak are the only other things that come to mind.

Have you tried replacing the fuel filter? This would be an cheap and easy check.

Same problem in my 84. Changed out rearend fluid and limited slip additive got from advance and the problem was gone. Hope this helps.
