You must do something with #1. See in switch were both line 91 and 92 go to ground in low speed, and by removing one or the other get's high speed and park. and both ground being low speed.

I have a 79 that had the small spoiler on it when I got it. Adding the 3pc. Indy spoiler helped a lot with hwy speed cooling. The 79's came with the 3pc. so that's why I went with it.

I think you will find there is good bit of meet there around those holes, just clean it out (may have to drill out) and re-tap it to the next size up. If not, there are thread inserts out there.
