This thread is where you learn how much people really understand performance numbers.

It’s fine if you want to completely dismiss the hinted sub-3 second 0-60 and instead guess the new...

What a terrific thread. Has potential to be a classic.

Make a vette faster in 6th gear races on the cheap by relabeling 5th gear. 5th is the new 6th.

I had an N54 335i. So sick of hearing about...

I did 124 in the quarter with 437 rwhp in a bolt on (and lighter) base M6. I'd say 450-460 rwhp for 125-126.

All the OP needs is the bolt ons and a mild cam.

What's the typical torque gain with this cam on an LS3? I'm looking for a cam that yields great midrange torque gains.

Are you able to share the duration specs (ball park)?

Is it really a dreaded C6?

I think the two above posters have the correct diagnosis: heat from headers melting starter solenoid. Happened to me too. Don't worry too much about difficult or...

Those numbers are 30-40 rwhp more than I would expect from a Mustang dyno. Happy dynos are fun, but meaningless for real comparison with others' results. A stock LS3 auto on a typical dynojet will...

You shared all of your reasoning as to why you are looking for 550 + rwhp, so discussing that was fair game. You also implied the concern that a H&C setup would only get you into the 10s on days...

I think you just keep erroneously assuming that you need more power than you really do to run deep into the 10s at 130+. This is surprising considering your statement that you had a high 10/low 11...

Yeah, $800 should cover a trip to MIR, where all records fall. Or a nice tip to the workers at your local drag strip to give you the timeslips you want.

Seriously, you don't leave much room for...

437/416 - Bolt-on LS3 (MN6)

What do you think? What would you expect for a trap speed in the 1/4 at sea level for this power in a 1LT base MN6?

Car has OBX 1 & 3/4 catted headers, Haltech, ported TB, ported intake manifold,...

I would suggest just leaving off idle and working up from there. You may just have been too ambitious with the launch rpm. You can run a 12 just leaving off idle (manual or A6). Work your way up...

My 1LT '08 M6 went 124 in the quarter with just bolt ons, so I won't agree that it takes a cam to get to the Z06 "level" in a straight line (and it kind of irritates me to keep reading that). Lots of...

4:10 = 4/10 or 0.40.

4.10:1 = 4.10.

The gears that are available are 4.10:1 gears. Big difference from 0.40:1 gears, which don't exist and would be ridiculous.

I wonder what your uncorrected dyno numbers are. Everyone you're racing has to deal with the same air, at least.

Interesting. What size rim and what size tire? The options I've looked at for skinnies have price out well over $1K. I am not going to spend that kind of money for something so occasionally used.
