That engine should idle smoothly with an 8" balancer. My engine only has a 6" balancer, but it is solid steel.

Lucas fuel injector cleaner in my '68 Vette/holley 600 cfm. I removed a head to change a gasket and the combustion chamber was clean/no soot or carbon buildup.

Use a few drops of gm or 3M clear sealant inside the trim ring before reinstalling the ring. Find all loose rings...remove them and use the glue to reinstall per forum members.
