When I bought mine it had 97000 miles on it. Original everything. Ran rough but still was a fucntional car. After a rebuild I can jump in it and drive it anywhere.

Looks like it has been ground with an angle grinder - vertical grooves visible. The heads were off the block when it was done or a spacer was put on the heads to stop it damaging it. Agree with WFO76...

I have seen this a lot. My 70 is 1/2 higher on the pasenger side. I have completely rebuilt the whole suspension. You can tweak it a little by adjusting the bolt length on one side of the spring....
