that’s definitely a possibility but I was hoping someone has just replaced the shield on the unit. Removing the unit it probably going to be quiet complicated.

HUD dust shield broken

Any info on how to replace the clear plastic top dust shield on the HUD -2015C7 but I’m sure all C7s are the same. I don’t want to replace the entire unit as it works fine,

HTC built mid-day on Tuesday of this week and delivered to Lexington Ky area dealership mid-day Friday. That’s 72 hours from assembly line to dealership.

Let’s all hope that none of our contraptions are a permanent fix. They are a good insurance policy though while hopefully GM comes up with an appropriate fix. I do feel it’s probably user error...
