In the nitrous world detonation could and does create enough havoc to crack a block. I'm thinking the same is true with this situation, unless it's a 1000 HP monster ( they never stated power #'s )...

The guys who built my trans said it could be wired to lock up in 3rd gear if i wanted. That way the converter isn't slipping all the time while driving around town.

I agree the rules are there to protect us. Next summer my car will be on a 100 shot only. 11.0's 10.90's will be breaking the rules as far as i care to anymore. plus i can do it this way on 93 pump...
