I’ve found that hooking them up to a battery on the workbench and running them helps to keep the commutator shined up. Run them both directions for a good while. 5 minutes or so.

I’ve found it’s best to run them on the bench forward & reverse about five minutes each to free up the motor...

Johnson Controls used to run it but sold it recently.

They make batteries for host of nameplates.

Never had an oil filter that I knew of. We bought the car out of the ‘dog line’ at a used car lot 1965. Maybe it had a ‘55 engine swapped in.

Bought a rebuilt LF caliper and master cylinder from O'Reilleys a couple months ago. They had MC and calipers on the shelf.

Finished up by rebuilding the other three w'kits .
