My nephew took a few pics of my car on his phone and tweaked them using an app called Snapseed - pretty amazing results for 2 minutes effort IMO. Plus the car was fairly filthy.

Mine did not work on drivers side with any of these methods, had to push pretty firmly directly over the latch.
I believe the problem was that the rubber bushing down stop had too much interference....

I agree as well - while the side-to-side rotation will not address scrub wear, it will certainly reduce cupping and the associated tire noise.
