I have an 84 that has a cracked head. I can get a set of heads casting number 14022601 for free I know they are supposed to be 305 ho heads will they work for now? It was already carbed when I got...

Why would they drill holes in the body? I would just fill them and call it good...or take it somewhere and have them violate you. Only you know whats under the paint.

I would check the rockers for sure I had the same...

I would check the rockers for sure I had the same problem today and one was loose tightened it and the noise was gone.

what modular? was having the same problem with my 84...had to use computer controlled dizzy to work, did you use the vacuum dizzy?
