40 mph is where it wants to lock up the converter so you are going in and out of torque convertor lock. My 93 does the same thing.

Been working on replacing the Bose system in my car. The last bit of wiring involves getting 2 12 gauge wires to the battery. Where is the best place to stick these through the firewall?

Dunno if this helps but I put C5 Z06 18x10.5 on the rear of my car and the backspacing is perfect. Just a guess but the 17x11 I took off stuck out about an inch further.
