Got the intake manifold back on after replacing...

Got the intake manifold back on after replacing the gaskets. Took it for a test drive, no more plumes of smoke from the oil dripping onto the cat.

I'm guessing that dry gaskets rely on compression...

I'm guessing that dry gaskets rely on compression to make them seal. So that if you try to re-use one it you'll have massive failure.

I'm going with The Right Stuff Black. A touch under the ends...

Yes, I realize the vernacular discrepancy. But technically it's burning oil, just not in the engine... well, not as bad as it is outside the engine! :thumbs:
