Re: HIGH HP AUTO TRANNY GUYS CHECK IN!!! (mn_vette)

I don't have high HP but, I do know there are some guys using the 4L80(E). It handles a lot more torque than the 700R4 or 4L60(E). Hope this helps out.

Re: L98 to www.lt1intake.com conversion???? (clemsonvette)

I would just get the stealthram system and get a upper plenum through grumpy. It will only cost a $100 more and you have half the hassle with the same results.

Re: water injection vs IC (devilfish)

I know with gaseous (water injection) you can run a 10.5:1 CR and not have any detonation. It will rob you of a little power compared to a IC but, with the higher CR you can run with it, it should...

Re: Boomin Stereo System in a C4? (Kale)

Yes but, can you build your own lifestyle 30? I really don't know anything about the wave radio. I think those are more for old people who aren't quite technology savy. People who just want a nice...

Re: Boomin Stereo System in a C4? (j3studio)

That is the biggest complaint about Bose but, I am military and Doctor Bose only puts his systems "On Sale" for military so I personally can't complain about the price. I can however, see why poeple...

Re: Boomin Stereo System in a C4? (Kale)

I haven't heard any home system that can compare to a car audio system. I guess I don't understand where you are coming from. Home systems generally use 8-16 Ohm speakers while car audio generally...

Re: Boomin Stereo System in a C4? (1989redvette)

I would have to agree with the car audio but, home audio, nothing can touch em. A co-worker has the Bose Life Style 30 and I have to admit, it sounds just as good as my Klipsch System. The only...

Re: I want a stiffer car should a buy a bolt in roll bar or do a custom job? (STL94LT1)

I built my own harness bar. It cost me $20 for materials and welded it myself. I used 2" Aluminum Tubing with 1/4" wall thickness. Two 1" square tubing with 1/8" wall thickness at about 8" long and...

Re: 58mm TB on stock (Cratzy)

I personally would buy the TB but, wait to put it on until I had the 383. You current stock TB is good until you get above the 400 HP mark, I think. I say, if it is a good deal, buy it, nothing...

Re: Z-51) (Homer J)

I hate to keep mentioning them but, I would say Carroll SC would be the way to go. Their kits are a true bolt on kit. For $4200 you get everything including MSD, injectors, fuel pump, plug wires, 6...

Re: Carroll Supercharging Website (BAM92)

I talked to them the other day, they said they are under construction on their new sight. The old one works but the prices might not be the same and a few of their items might have changed.

Re: Aftermarket Intercooler with Sc..? Yes or No? (Bruce)

Carroll Superchargers makes a Gaseous intercooler for their SC Kit. It injects a 20% alcohol and 80% water, to cool the air. It robs a little bit of power but you can overcome that. What's even...

Re: manual vs auto (ragged claws)

I would pay more for a 6 speed than an automatic but, I wouldn't pay more for a 4+3 than an automatic. The reason, for me, is the 4+3 overdrive unit is notoriously unreliable. While manuals generally...
