The engine was done a few years back, hopefully I can reach out to the builder and ask him what he did. If he can’t remember, I guess it’s coming apart to do the measurements.

Instead of taking it apart now, put it together and see if it aligns. If the washer can not be seen then what what is the washer like product in the the picture?
