The ZR1 has more drag than a Z06, which in turn has more drag than either a C7 or base C6. I agree that the C7 won't do 200, probably mid-190s, but the assertion that it would need 600+ horsepower...

49/51, big whoop, the point is it's not 40/60 or more like a 911. You'd probably have to go with a 275 up front to maintain the factory handling balance with a 305 in back.

Keep in mind squeezing wide tires on a narrow wheel is bad for at-the-limit handling behavior. Either do it right with a matching set of wider wheels or not at all.

Actually, from what I've read the EPA rating splits the difference between AFM on and AFM off. Highway with AFM off is 28, with AFM on it's 30, and the EPA rating is 29.

A (Y) speed rating isn't an "infinite" speed rating. It doesn't mean it's good for 200, 250, or 300 mph just because it's rated at "186+". I imagine Porsche worked closely with the tire...
