c5 remote side mirrors

Does anyone know if the plastic actuator rods for the power side mirrors are available anywhere? Are the actuator rods the same on the C5's and the C6's?

I have a 600 cfm Edelbrock on my '78 L82 with a performance cam. What do you suggest is the best way to set the idle on this carb? I set it using a vacuum gauge - setting idle screws until I get max...

Just like to pass along what I found cured my issues: installed a 3/4" spacer block (I used phenolic) under the carb. Hope this helps someone else.

'78 L82 will not idle when warm

Hoping someone can help me out on this..
'78 L82, automatic with Elgin Pro stock cam E1067; .325/.340 cam lift, .488/.510 valve lift, .300/.310 Adv. duration, 234/244 .050 dur.
It has a 600 cfm...

First, my timing is set at 34 degrees @ 3000 rpm and the vacuum advance is manifold vacuum. However, the 12-13" I mentioned in my first post was taken at the carb.

Idle drops too low

'78 L82 w/auto. trans.;Elgin 1607 cam, Edelbrock 1406 carb.. Set idle w/vac. ga. (12-13" high as I can get reading vacuum off front port of carb), curb idle set @900 rpm. Problem is idle drops to 500...
