I did mine a few years back, oversized pins and reamed out the holes to make them round again and fit the new pins. Take loads of pictures as you go along and take your time, keep everything in order...

I had the fuel smell in the oil when I bought my 91. Replaced the injectors with a set of Bosch III's. Problem solved. One or more injectors were leaking and allowing fuel to leak into the cylinders...

When I did mine I ended up using a trolley jack in the footwell to hold the pedal assy in place so that I could get the bolts through the bulkhead. What fun !!!

I have to admit it is loud and bordering on antisocial if you floor it. Gentle driving its fine. I haven't noticed any "drone" that intrudes in the cabin but don't do many long journeys in this one.
