As far as I know 67 only had the trick 3/8s rods. My early 68 crate motor had 7/16s and I assume the production cars used the same.

It will run better with the stock dual plane hi-rise. We played with all of those different manifolds in the old days and ended up with a hi-rise dual plane of some sort every time.

I agree with a ground problem. The alt. thinks the battery is dead when the ground is bad and charges the max it can. Killing the alt.

Use a vacuum carb you will be much happier. Lars is right about the Q-jet the throttle blades are mech. but the air valve that controlls the air flow through the sec side is vacuum controlled.

I'd wear out the keyboard before I listed everything that I have broken. I quit racing just before my son was born (he's 18) so it has been much better for a while.
