Thanks to everyone who helped out with advice, I have installed the 20 tooth blue gear GM part no 3987920 although it was 2 mm larger in diameter than my metal gear which I could not find anywhere....

Buns is on the money😆, looks like my Speedo isn’t working and the problem is in the gearbox as the Speedo works fine when connected to a drill and no wear on the cable driven gear.

Hey Jerry , I’m just playing the same game and have found that you cannot pull the inner from the trans end, their must be a circlip at the speedo end that prevents it coming out that way.

Does anyone have the actual GM paint code for the shockers on a 64 C2
I have checked the forum and some have identified the colour as Machine Grey but there is no GM colour listed anywhere.
