Awesome, thanks for your help. I actually noticed today my factory ones are sticking out a bit in the front anyway and since I clearly hadn't noticed up to now it must not be that big a deal.

That is pretty much what my research has indicated so far. Did you switch them out because of them sticking out or some other reason? It is always hard to predict what will bother me about my car...

I use a bug sponge from auto geek, it works like a champ and doesn't scratch. The only down side is you have to pretty much already be washing the car.

Steve aswered the phone for me as well, codeveloped the MID system with Darton, and seemed like an all around nice guy. If I end up keeping my block I am sending it to him to be repaired.
