Interesting. I'll have to weigh the risk on this. AutoZone has a deal where they give you $20 off for each $100 you spend and have shipped to your home. That makes this $112 booster + master cylinder...

I had the same symptom when I bought my '76 over the summer. Looks like it had the original rag joint and it was literally falling apart. replaced it and all is well. I hope yours is that simple. :)
