If you're talking about the strip that is lifted on the A pillar that is more for cosmetics. The windshield is "glued" in place to seal it to the surrounding area.

Have the wheel repaired. There are mobile wheel services that will come to your house. The wheel will look like new and you won't spend anywhere near what you would spend for a new one.
