I just remembered that these are the speakers from just the doors. i'll have to look and see if i still have the factory rears. i don't think i do since i did JL Audio stealthboxes behind the seats...

Totally agree. If we aren't going to push our vettes to the edge from time to time, what is the point of having one. Then we would be better off driving a family sedan.....

If the 05' rear end is fragile like some say and if the 275/40/17 is a bit more forgiving on parts and provides better launch to boot, then that sounds like the route to go.

I get the picture and I appreciate all the advice guys. I think I will share this thread with my dad so he can see that if he is gonna get DR's it would be most prudent to go with the 275/40/17...
