Some sources state you should change the sensors every 100,000 miles for better MPG, performance, etc.

Thanks! I also own a 1986 Z28 since new. Thirdgen.org was the first forum I joined in the late '90s.

My 23 mile commute to work was trouble free. Hopefully the problem worked itself out.

on most GM vehicles I've owned. 1995 Vette and 1986 & 1993 Z28.
Doors seem to want to close on their own on any slight incline. Have gotten my leg caught a few times.
