Titanium is not the rod coating but the rods themselves. I only had Ti readings of 14 and when we pulled the engine apart, all 8 rods had worn off the coating and they were grinding themselves...

It was in the process... found all the damage after hearing what sounded like piston slap and was doing the heads anyway... so when the motor was apart found that all 8 rods were grinding each other...
