What is the best way to route new speaker wires from the dash to the rear area of an '81 ? Through the console, under the carpet and along the sill plate or ?????? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I would assume that the REC in the beginning of the VIN# means it is a Reconstructed title vehicle, or R Title. Might hurt the value as an investment, but as a daily driver, no problem.
