Are there any pics of cars in their primer as they left the factory? I'm sure a survivor primer car would be rarer than a hen's tooth...

This car is indeed a driver and wont be going into Concours any time soon, they're not a big thing here in Aus. I think it will end up being painted Riverside Red as its going into the paint shop...

The trim tag has the codes for the interior...

The trim tag has the codes for the interior colour etc but next to the paint there is just a dash instead of a code...

My dad has owned a 1964 since 2011, imported into Australia from Colorado. Its a numbers matching with the 365HP option, currently what we believe to be Riverside Red.

I can see where you're coming from on that one. Personally, I think the cup wheels in black that are available on the 2012/13 cars really add a few more years of youth to the aging design of the C6....

The one thing I dislike about the ZR1s (coming from someone who is in the market for a used one) is how so many people seem to option them with the chrome wheels. Black looks so much better!

afair the valve guide issue in the LS7 is not related to the seating of the guides themselves, rather poor geometry of the valves causing side loading and in some case, poor finish of the valve stem...

that's a fair point. although there is difficulty with shipping a car across the US to the right workshop etc etc. I have no doubt there are shops in Aus that could do the work (our Holden cars here...

^ thanks. corvettes are not sold by GM in Aus so they definitely wouldnt honor any sort of warranty claim, even if the car was brand new. That's why I have to make sure I dont buy a car with a motor...

as others said, CC brakes will usually make a bit of noise at times, especially if the pads have had a few heat cycles.

Does the LS9 share the same valve train issues of the LS7?

Its has well documented in recent times that the LS7 is plagued with valve train issues stemming from poor geometry. The end result is terminal engine failure due to worn valve guides/broken valves....
