Finally had the time to install the caliper...

Finally had the time to install the caliper hardware kit. I even installed a new caliper bracket and guide pins and used high temp lube. The rattle still occurs!!! Could a ball joint be the issue?...

They are aftermarket pads all around. They are fine in the front and in the right rear. It's just the left rear that rattles.

Problem solved! I forgot to connect the vacuum...

Problem solved! I forgot to connect the vacuum hose on the front of the intake manifold...realized that AFTER I took it apart again! I now officially hate intake manifolds!

The rattling problem has been solved. The rotor was rattling ever so slightly with the wheel on and so was the caliper. I took the tire off and tinkered with the rotor and tightened the bolts down...

I was able to pinpoint the problem to the brakes. The rattle when I drive stops instantly when I hit the brakes...even if I barely press the brake pedal. Today I'll take the real wheels off and see...

Lol I did a drilled & slotted rotor and ceramic pad job a few months ago, so I know that's not it. I probably (hopefully) didn't tighten a caliper bolt all the way down. :crazy:
