Yes you can just put them on and the paint will clean off quick. I changed mine at 30k with OEM rotors and pads. One of my rear pads backplate had come off and was squealing.

My 13GS top would pop also. The noise was coming from where the latch's make contact with the window frame. I put grease on the contact points and the popping is gone.
