They are probably trying to get rid of the gas guzzler tax. I'm waiting for confirmation myself. My only fear is more gears in the same space may be weaker.

I was going to say in reality unless you are a traveling salesman the 100k portion of the warranty most likely will not be utilized for most buyers. My daily driver/only car averages 10600 per year....
