Mine is a 59 4 speed.... has been on the car about 7 years tho admittedly only sees 500-700 miles a year...

I installed a Dewitts aluminum radiator in my 59 to correct a SEVERE overheating problem. I still run the original 4 blade fan and, like you, it stays about 160 when driving....it will slowly build...

I replaced my original 59 radiator with a Dewitts. I still have it as I keep all the old original parts but would not waste $$$ recoreing it. Not sure what its worth.

I had a overheating problem...

I'm not very knowledgeable on gearing but it does seem out of line based on my experience with my 327 4:11 rear end.

At 4000 rpm, I'd be doing about 80...

I don't know how precise you want to be but I used off the shelf red Krylon to nicely match my 59's Roman Red interior.... two 12 ounce cans was more than enough tho I can't imagine a 63 would...
