If it is only a couple of inches, you can fix if a dorman speedometer repair kit ($5). If you have slack you can crimp on a 1 inch aluminum rectngular end (part of the kit). then mount to tranny....

Thanks for all your guys help. Took of the steering wheel and traced it to the deterorating green wire connector. Since i had it open also fixed the cancel cam. Good as new
