How Do I Know If My U-Joint is Bad?

So I have older threads with my issue of a "whomp whomp whomp" sound in my right rear.

Ok, just jacked up the trailing arm...same wobble. The left side, jacked or unjacked spins nicely. The right side wobbles jacked or unjacked.
