When the points disappeared the wire on the "I" side (the yellow one in your pic) went away.
Summer months are fine down here, I don't even have AC, but I do have this...:rock:...

I too was curious about the connections, when I pulled my motor out I disconnected them ... but failed to remember 5 months later when I put everything back together. I have 4 wires... Big battery...
