Great to hear that the repair was simple. A pinion seal replacement is no joke, especially on these cars. Pull the diff/ batwing, set the gears, etc. $1300 would be a bargain and 8 hours best case....

Update: I installed a new belt and reproduction tensioner and all is well. Much more steady with AC on. Spring must have been weak or near limit with stretched belt.
