Stahl/ACP headers and sidepipes are a good option if you want some power with your sound. I went with the short length sidepipes and STS spiral baffles on a 350HO crate engine with LT4 Hot Cam....

460lb front and 330lb rear sounds like a good combo for a sporty roadcar. My C3 used to have the stock springs with Bilstein HD shocks and it honestly felt more like a Buick than a sports car.

Add to that list the 991 GT2RS, with ~992lbs of downforce at top speed (211) with a Cd of 0.35. They've done a phenomenal job on the aero on their cars.

I run a fitech system with a set of Stahl headers and sidepipes. I like them because the collector is still under the car before exiting to the side. I'll take some pics of the location.

Maybe? It'll probably have a broader torque curve than the outgoing pushrod engine from the C7.R. Greater volumetric efficiency from an engine with the same displacement as the outgoing C7.R's...

It's one metric of the car's accelerative performance. You probably wouldn't want to be caught dead in a base or Z51 C8 against a C7 Z06 in a roll or at the drag strip.

They stopped caring...

I remember reading somewhere in a Mero interview that, while it was said that the front-engine platform was maxxed, the real reason they went mid-engine was because an upper exec said to do it. It...

My car had a T5 before the TKO. Main thing I remember was how little effort it took to shift the T5. Really easy to do quick shifts. Definitely not bolt action feel, though. Kinda has the same kind...

Good tires are a far cheaper alternative, in my opinion. I alternate between my '80 C3 and an '02 BMW Z3M Coupe, and the modern summer tires (Michelin Pilot Super Sports) on my Z3M have amazing grip...

The Panoz LMP1 Roadster-S.

It won the ALMS championship in 1999. Wouldn't exactly call that a failure.

Personal opinion, but I'd use something a bit beefier than a T5 on a 450+hp 383. Unless it's beefed up somehow, a WC T5 is only rated for about 300 lb-ft of torque. My '80 came with a WC T5 mated to...

I'm a big fan of the later model glassback C3s. It's why I went with my '80, along with the lower curb weight and superior aero compared with the early models. Great cars for a starting template.
