Just look for CAGS eliminator or GM skip shift. The well-known Corvette shops sell one for about $25-$30 that has the connectors and block-off plugs, a 10 minute job...or you could do it yourself...

Yep, you're correct...but the 'sawblades' on the later C4s were designed to pull air out from the bottom of the car. Not sure how effective that was but I do know they seem to collect more brake dust...
