My 75 was a repaint(88) - same paint formula, but base/clear- the owner then worked for Dupont.
As you can see. it is arguably nicer than the single stage metallic. But, not "original".

I've read that better gearing on these will quiet them down on the highway, but not make much difference in MPG.

Actually has 73 454 (installed HEI), but the RV is a mint vintage 75. Only 44Kmiles. Damn ebay!
I will selling my 75 soon (for gas money) :( if anyone wants to jump on it now before I list...
