Loose convertible top canvas...?

So I read here that a loose convertible top canvas can cause a bit of (booming/flapping) noise on the freeways, say over 70mph -- which is exactly the problem I have. And that the dealer can fix...

Mine is probably just a tad worse than that. Most of the time it doesn't bother me, but when I make my 400 mile jaunts to Los Angeles, flying down I-5, after a while ... it adds up.

I hear ya. The dealer would have to convince me they pretty much can guarantee me they can do this properly or I wouldn't trust them. It looks like a black art to me...

Makes sense that it is a bit "loose" because I have to hold the window up a tad when raising or lowering the top, so the toneau cover doesn't hit.

Is "tightening the convertible top" something...

Convertible top "beating"

My 2009 C6 convertible top "beats" a bit from the rear around 70mph and above. A low beat, almost like the flapping of a sail or flag.

Is this normal?

Seems to have a lot to do with side...
