Jacking the front of the trailer will reduce angle. I leave mine connected to the truck and just go up a few inches. Another option is to place wood under trucks rear tires.

Check the schematic for the ABS and there is a pressure signal already there. Just tap into that wire into you data logger. Make sure the data logger does not load the line.
