I believe you can remove the left tail light...

I believe you can remove the left tail light (torx). Maybe remove both lights. Reach in and remove the lining, and grab the emergency release lever on top of the drivers rear tire.

Are the Z06 shocks a suitable replacement for a base 2005 C6 with Z51 option? I have a leaky shock at 55k, and have been experiencing wheel hop as well. Hoping this would be a solution for both...

If only a little wobble maybe one of the idlers is on the way out. Can be isolated by removing belts one at a time.
