thanks for the reply, yes the wires are the same, when i tried what you said it made a squeaking noise, and when the clip was off the knob moved slightly. any more ideas?

headlight motor problem

i have the assembly apart (drivers side) on a 85 because the light would not turn up. when i have the wire clip off the adjuster the motor turns fine, but when there is pressure on the knob it starts...
