no worries - under the previous ownership, this car had a shop replace the water pump a few thousand miles ago so i think the pulley will not be too much of a bitch to remove.

$35 later I had them within 1 week and other than purchasing some 3M HD foam...

I'd steer clear of motor swaps like the 455 for your own sanity... lots of stupid little problems will arise and you won't gain that much more than if you stroked a L98 or LT1 350.

Cool to hear thats all it was - I knew the problem had to do with excessive torque on the serpentine belt, but wouldn't have guessed the compressor reacted that way to too much freon.
