First thing to do is make sure there’s no slop in the door hinges ..replace the bushings if needed you do this by pulling up on the door also the hinges are prone to crack .. check them carefully .....

So the big debate debate these days is epoxy first over raw glass then g2 polyester I have seen guys just put the g2 polyester over the raw unpainted glass and have great results it’s very confusing...

Mines a 70s unit that I took apart and cleaned it and put new shims in white grease and it’s been flawless I used 5 speeds bushing kit that you can only get from him there’s absolutely no slop at all...
