It would really be a nice piece, with the aluminum heads it would automatically be 70 lbs lighter than the regular 454`s from the early 70 C3`s, plus it`s injected and brand new! :thumbs: :thumbs:...

A real nice engine choice would be the "Ram Jet 502" factory fuel injected big block. Part number P/N 12497323. It comes with everything necessary to install including the injection. :thumbs:

This Camaro has a 1988 LS7 crate engine. {when purchased from dealer} The camshaft is a 3959180, 580/620 which is certainly different than the L72 and L78 engines. One major internal difference...

I believe the ZL1 cam 580/620 is the same one used in the LS7. The L88`s were 560/580, am I correct on the ZL1?

All the original factory parts. 12.5-1, 560/580 cam. I never had the engine apart until much later {25,000 miles} a set of headers and slicks were the only modifications. :D

It costs the same whether you build it with no HP as it does with high HP. Premium fuel is the only difference. BUILD IT HIGH HP. 11-1, solid lifter cam. :D This can all be done without fancy pump...

Dep, I just checked for sure on the Standard point set, and your correct, DR2371XP is in the footnotes in the Old Car Standard book and will fit our cars. :thumbs:
